Alfred University student participates in residency focused on mentorship

Emily Woo, a senior art major at Alfred University, was awarded a Watershed Ceramics & The Color Network Residency, which focuses on mentorship.

Woo was among 12 artist participants in The Color Network’s mentorship program who gathered in September for a two-and-a-half week residency at the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts’ newly-renovated 54-acre campus in Edgecomb, ME. Watershed and The Color Network are partnering for a third time to host an artist residency focused on mentor-mentee relationship building among artists of color who work in clay.

The session was funded in part by a $35,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
